We are working on updating the site and making a few changes. We now have Play Sunday T-Shirts available. Just click on the add at the top right hand corner of the page!!

We now have online shopping for fastpitch softball equipment. It is through Dick's Sporting Goods so check it out and help support this website.

We now have a few videos on our Equipment Reviews section of the website.

We have 2 New Photo albums!! We have been working hard on the layout and hopefully we have the bugs worked out. We now have the entire collection of photos from the tournaments we have attended.

If you have photos you would like posted on Playsunday.com, send me an email and we will try and get them posted.. We are going to create a "User Album" where we can place those single photos, and if you have a set of photos of your team or from a tournament, contact us and we will make arangements to get them all posted. We now have an album with some pictures from the "Shamrocks" out of Virginia..Check them out!

The Youtube videos are still going strong. We have Almost 16,000 views now!! If you go to watch the videos and you have a Youtube account, please rate the videos and leave comments. All you need is a gmail account to be able to log in. Once you are logged in please "Subscribe" to our channel. Also if you add your self as a "Friend", you will get an update anytime new videos are added. Check back often, we are adding new videos all the time.

What's coming at Playsunday.com

We are working hard to get all the pages of the website up and going. We are taking our time to try and do each page right.

A tournament section will also be coming. We will post information on upcoming tournaments with maps, weather forcast and other information.

I am still working on getting some fastpitch instructors to post their information, tips and maybe some video lessons.

Tournament Day

It’s the break of dawn on a Saturday morning; the grass is still wet with the morning dew. Sleepy eyed girls are filing in one by one. Camps are going up everywhere, softball gear is being unloaded and girls are starting to warm up. The air is full of the excitement of what could be. Games are beginning to get started. They are only pool games but the competition is still fierce. These girls don’t want to lose. Soon the ballpark is full. There are games on every field, teams warming up on just about every patch of grass. Now the morning dew has given way to the sunshine and the heat. Its bracket time now, time for the real deal. Fastpitch Softball- Hard Nosed Athletes or Sweet Little Girls

I attended the final day of my daughter’s 10U fastpitch softball tournament today. I left with a lot of excitement and a lot of emotion. This tournament was in Texas at the end of July. I don’t have to tell you how hot it was. I am and have always been amazed at the athletic ability of these girls. Along with this ability, they have an amazing understanding of the game. I saw big hits, amazing catches, beautiful slides, heads up base running, and many other things that make it hard to believe that you are watching ten year old girls. I watched catchers wearing all of their gear, pitchers throwing pitch after pitch and fielders standing on a field all day long in 100 degree weather for 2 days straight. ..click here to read the entire article...

What is Play Sunday all about?

When young athletes play tournaments, they have a goal. That goal is to "Play Sunday". Winners Play Sunday! That is why we say PLAY HARD PLAY SUNDAY!

Playsunday.com is a community website where young athletes can come together and share their love of sports. We cater to the Select Softball, Club Teams, and Travel Team athlete, but we still welcome the athlete who aspires to be at that level of play. We have something for everyone, the young athletes, their parents, their friends and their coaches.

At this time our primary focus is on Girls Fastpitch Softball and some boys baseball. As we grow we will also include Girls Volleyball, Girls and Boys Soccer and of course expand our coverage of Boys Baseball. The young athletes that play these sports are passionate about their games and they deserve a place to share that passion with others. We want to be that place.

We try and attend as many tournaments as possible and take photographs and videos of the athletes in action. We will post these here on the website. As we grow we will be able to attend more events and expand our coverage. If you have photos or Youtube ready videos from your tournament and they can be emailed, submit them to us and we may post them too! The email link is at the top in the link bar
